AN INTRODUCTION TO THE ALLIANCE FOR RESPONSIBLE CITIZENSHIP

The ARC (Alliance for Responsible Citizenship) is a new organisation building on the energy of a growing movement that observes the decline of Western civilization coupled with a determination to do something about it. In their own words taken from their website, they “continue the vital work of restoring and renewing our societies. We gather world-leading thinkers, business leaders, policy makers, and culture formers to interrogate some of today's most important social, economic, cultural, and moral questions.”

In a recent conference which took place in London from 17 -19 February, an impressive gathering of over four thousand people from around the world took place. The conference was centred around ARC’s vision of renewal, based on the conviction that Western civilisation is in decline, but animated by the hope that we can “re-lay the foundations of our civilisation”.

Can Christians recognise in this movement, something that has been hoped for, for decades? Could it be the beginning of a recovery of traditional values and foundations that have been undermined so radically in recent times?

These are important questions to consider. In the meantime, it’s time to find out more about the movement. Below is a link to the ARC website and two videos from key note speakers from the London Conference – the well know Canadian Jordan Peterson and Douglas Murray.
